FAQ's
What is Holistic Nutrition?
Holistic nutrition is an approach to health and wellness that considers the whole person, recognizing the interconnectedness of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects. It emphasizes the use of whole, natural foods to nourish the body, promote optimal health, and prevent or address imbalances and diseases.
Who is this course suitable for?
This course is designed for healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, nutritionists), wellness practitioners (yoga teachers, fitness trainers), and anyone seeking to improve their own health or help others improve theirs. Families, individuals, and anyone who wants to live disease-free.
How is the self-paced course different from the live course?
The self-paced course gives you the flexibility to start anytime and learn at your own rhythm, with access to all the content for a period of 1 year. The live course, on the other hand, runs in structured batches with real-time interaction and group discussions with Dr Gauri. The live course usually happens once a year - typically in June.
Are there any prerequisites?
No. The course is designed to be accessible to everyone. All concepts are explained clearly, without requiring a background in science or medicine.
When can I start and how long do I have access?
You can start immediately after enrolling. Once you’ve joined, you’ll have access for 1 year to the course, so you can revisit the lessons anytime and learn entirely at your own pace.
Is there a community or discussion forum included?
At the moment, there isn’t a dedicated community space for self-paced learners. However, if we introduce one in the future, you will automatically receive access to it.
Are there quizzes, assignments, or assessments?
Yes. Each module comes with structured notes and a quiz to help you consolidate your learning. These are designed not just to test knowledge, but to help you reflect and apply the concepts in your daily life.
Do I receive a certificate of completion?
Yes. Once you complete the course, simply email a screenshot of your completion to drgaurirokkam@gmail.com, and we will issue a custom-made certificate in your name. Here's how it looks!
What can I call myself after completing this course?
You cannot call yourself a “nutritionist” or “dietician" without a degree in the same. However, you can call yourself a health coach and you will be empowered to apply this knowledge in your own life, guide your family and community, and if you’re already in healthcare or wellness, this course will give you a strong competitive edge.
How is this different from free content available online?
Free content is often scattered, contradictory, and incomplete. This course gives you a clear, structured, and evidence-based pathway that integrates Nutrition Science with Nature Cure and Yoga philosophy. Instead of piecing together random tips, you’ll learn a complete, time-tested framework you can trust from a seasoned expert in the field.
Is the course practical? Will I learn how to apply it in daily life?
Yes, absolutely. This course is designed to be lived, not just learned. You’ll gain clear guidance on what to eat, when to eat, and how to practice every concept discussed, along with tips for cooking, grocery choices, and managing cravings. It’s about transforming the way you and your family live, meal by meal, day by day.
Will this help me if I’m not fully plant-based yet?
Yes. You don’t need to already follow a plant-based lifestyle. This course teaches the why and how behind it, giving you the knowledge and confidence to make changes at your own pace. Even small steps in this direction can make a big difference.
Is it safe for people with medical conditions?
Yes. In fact, it is especially recommended for people with chronic conditions or lifestyle-related disorders. The principles shared here can support healing and prevention. If your condition is critical and you are dependent on medications, it is important to have more support while making these changes. In such cases, please reach out to me or any other qualified naturopath for guidance alongside the course.
Can I download the videos?
No, the videos cannot be downloaded for offline use, and we do not recommend reproducing or resharing the material. This is because half-knowledge, taken out of context without the full understanding, can be more harmful than helpful.
Additionally, all course content—including videos, notes, and supplementary materials—is protected under copyright and intellectual property laws. Any unauthorised recording, reproduction, or distribution of this material in part or whole is strictly prohibited.
However, you will always have access to the course platform, so you can revisit the videos anytime. The detailed notes for each module are also available for you to download and keep as references.
What is the language of instruction?
The course is currently in English. In the future, we plan to introduce other languages. If you would like this in Kannada (or any other regional language), please write to us — your input helps us understand the demand and prioritize translations.
Can couples or families learn together with one enrollment?
Yes, absolutely. In fact, we recommend it. Health is most powerful when embraced at a family level. Since food is usually prepared for everyone at home, learning together ensures the whole household moves toward health in harmony.
How can I get further support?
Yes. After completing the self-paced course, you can book a personal consultation with Dr. Gauri Rokkam if you’d like additional support, clarification, or guidance in applying the knowledge to your specific situation.
Completing the course also makes you eligible for her apprenticeship program - which allows you to sit in on her personal consultations. You can reach out for more details.
What payment options are available?
We currently support Razorpay for online payments. If you’d like to pay in installments, or if you are trying to make an international payment, please email us at drgaurirokkam@gmail.com and we’ll guide you. (At this time, international payments are not directly accepted via the platform.)
What is the refund policy?
Currently, we do not offer refunds. However, if you have a genuine concern, please reach out to us and we will do our best to find a fair and supportive solution.
I really want to do this course but I cannot afford the price. What can I do?
Please reach out to me directly and explain your situation. The primary goal is to spread awareness and build health. I am always happy to accommodate genuine needs because I believe knowledge of health should be accessible to all.
I have already attended the course with Dr. Gauri earlier. Do I get a discount if I enroll again for the e-course?
